Veseljko (Wally) Pivac is the Founder and Director of V&D Engineering Services.
Wally is responsible for managing the company, formulating and executing long-term strategies, and interacting with clients, employees, investors and other stakeholders. He is V&D’s primary decision- and policy-maker, setting the tone for the company’s values, ethics and culture.
As founder of V&D Engineering Services, Wally is a highly skilled Qualified Boilermaker and First Class welder with more than 50 years' combined experience in Engineering Management and Civil Works. Completing his apprenticeship in Europe, Wally migrated in Australia in 1970 where he began his working career with EPT/ABB Engineering construction starting as a boilermaker all the way to site manager after 32 years with the company. In early 2000 Wally decided to use his knowledge and experience to start his own company. Having worked in various roles across engineering, design and construction, Wally brings extensive practical experience and strong project management skills, leading multi-disciplined teams, to his leadership role at V&D Engineering Services.
Wally exemplifies V&D’s commitment to helping its clients achieves high performance. He is a proven leader with deep expertise in developing strong client relationships, a passion for building outstanding client relationships and a disciplined focus on operations and execution.
Founding V&D with Wally, Dusica has played an vital role in developing the companies administration systems.
Dusica overseas all aspects of the companies administrations from payroll through to all finance aspects. Dusica's "Can Do" attitude has been instrumental in V&D's success since its inception. Working closely with her administration team, Dusica ensures all aspects of the companies day to day activities are executed with efficiency.
Jason has over 20 years of knowledge including management, contracting, administration and design skills. Jason has entered his engineering career after completing his boilermaker apprenticeship with ABB Engineering Construction. After his apprenticeship Jason founded V&D Engineering with his father in 2001.
Jason has managed VDE since its inception and has completed numerous engineering projects for a stable base of clients over this period. Jason has been instrumental in managing a range of maintenance and engineering projects and thrives with difficult challenges where he needs to think "outside the box" to get the job done. Jason has also managed numerous fabrication and construction projects in the iron ore, gas and especially the water industry.
Jason brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience that ensures first class engineering and fabrication solutions to all clients. Jason’s site management skill set ensures projects are completed on time and budget and to specification no matter what the challenge.
Adam has also played a role with V&D since its inception. "Learning" the ropes of engineering from Wally and Jason, Adam has developed many specialty skills and plays and important role in the company.
Adams main role as purchasing officer is to ensure all procurement is completed on time and especially budget. Adam also takes care of the companies logistic requirements organizing in house transport and sub contractors.
Adam holds a diploma in Business management.
Dejan completed his Diploma as a Mechanical Engineer in Serbia. V&D Engineering Services employed Dejan in 2012 on recommendation from associates in the industry. Dejan has since demonstrated a high level of competency with regard to all areas of Quality management associated with the fabrication and construction of high quality processing systems. He has a high level of competency with regard to the development of MDR’s and Inspection and Testing Plans. Dejan also carries out organisation of 3rd party NDT requirements and final client inspections.
Shanil's main role is to undertake technical and feasibility studies including site investigations, compiling job specs and supervising tendering procedures, managing budgets and projects resources, making sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health & safety and ensuring projects run smoothly and are completed within budget and on time.
Shanil’s strong complex problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, ability to work under deadlines, mathematical and technical skills play a crucial role at V&D Engineering Services.
Shanil holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours).
Sandra is an experienced professional, holding a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) from the University of Coimbra in Portugal. She started her career overseas in different areas of construction; specifically, the precast concrete industry. This was further developed with a variety of engineering, sales and project management roles.
Sandra joined V&D in 2018 reinforcing our Estimating & Procurement Department and supporting the project management aspects of the Company.
Sandra’s focus is on increasing V&D’s competitiveness and successful outcomes of each project. Her flexibility, personal and professional skills experience make her a valuable member of V&D and a great addition to the team.
Gary has been working with VDE since 2015 as their Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Consultant.
Gary has worked for several large corporations both in Australia and the UK, and has developed a comprehensive knowledge of business and risk management systems. Gary is passionate about developing, implementing and maintaining processes that ensure VDE provides low risk services to all clients in all environments.
Gary has a BSc in Environmental Management, Diplomas in Occupational Health and Safety Management and Building and Construction. Gary also holds Lead Auditor qualifications in Quality, Safety and Environment.
Gary manages the VDE Integrated Management System which is certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and AS4801.
